Current highlights

  • With the 2016 Interim Meeting taking place November 12-15 in Orlando, the AMA Senior Physicians Section Governing Council would like to encourage your participation.  As a member of the AMA, you have the opportunity to influence policies within the organization.  The Section leadership welcomes proposals from members to identify the needs of senior physicians (i.e., doctors age 65 and above, both active and retired).  Information is available on our timeline webpage, including a resolution template and resolution idea template for your use.  Resolutions must be submitted via email by Sept. 9 to sps@ama-assn.org.
  • View Annual Meeting highlights from the SPS meeting in Chicago. This year's educational keynote speaker was Richard Gunderman, MD, PhD, who spoke on the topic of physician burnout. Explore how senior physicians who are confronted by such challenges can thrive and continue to make a difference.
  • Receive senior physician news: AMA members can sign up for AMA Morning Rounds weekend edition, delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning.
  • Travel Opportunities are now available for 2016 through AHI Travel, a travel provider selected by the AMA for its members. View the 2016 travel program lineup.
  • Visit the Physician Financial Resource Center to view customized solutions for your personal and professional needs.
