Community Service Committee

About the Committee

The AMA-MSS Community Service Committee (CSC) is responsible for the development, promotion, and implementation of community service programs on the local, state, and national levels. CSC develops informational reports, programs, and resources to assist chapter and state officers in the organization and implementation of community service projects. This committee will work with the MSS At-Large Officer to coordinate a successful National Service Project at the MSS Interim and Annual Meetings.

AMA-MSS National Service Project
Learn more about the 2009-2011 NSP, which focuses on the AMA Healthier Life StepsTM program. You'll find everything you need to know to plan and implement a successful NSP event, including project ideas, information about funding, and tips to help you publicize your event.

Section Involvement Grants
MSS chapters are eligible for up to $1,000 in Section Involvement Grant (SIG) funding per academic year to support recruitment and community service projects, including National Service Project (NSP) events. Take advantage of this great opportunity and apply for a SIG to cover the cost of your NSP event. Be sure to submit your SIG application at least 30 days before your event.
