The AMA Medical Student Section (AMA-MSS) Governing Council (GC) is elected annually by the AMA-MSS Assembly to direct the programs and activities of the Section on the national level. The GC consists of eight members from medical schools nationwide, each of whom serves a one-year term: Chair, Vice Chair, Delegate, Alternate Delegate, At-Large Officer, Speaker, Vice Speaker, and Chair-Elect/Immediate Past Chair (each serving 6 months).
