Covering Kids and Families
The MSS is pleased to serve once again as a National Sponsor of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Back to School Campaign (BTS). BTS seeks to raise awareness of and encourages parents to enroll their eligible, uninsured children in low-cost and free health care insurance programs. Each August and September, events and activities organized by groups across the country help enroll eligible children in low-cost and free health care coverage through Medicaid and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).
All MSS chapters are encouraged to participate in this year's BTS by organizing or participating in a BTS event. The BTS Toolkit, which includes event planning guides, helpful tools, and information on how to obtain free materials available through the Campaign, makes it easier than ever to plan a great event and ensure that children receive the access to care they need. And don't forget that through the MSS Chapter Involvement Grant program, MSS chapters are eligible for up to $500 to help cover the cost of a BTS event.
If your chapter is planning a BTS event, please take a moment to tell us about it so that we can share your success with other chapters.
