AMA - IMG 15th Anniversary Summit
15th Year Anniversary AMA-IMG Summit
Nyapati "Raghu" Rao, MD, Chair, AMA-IMG Summit
"The Summit was a success beyond our imagination. It was historic by being the first ever national conference organized by IMGs about IMGs with full support from the organized medicine in the USA. As we all know, IMGs are quite critical for the success of the physician workforce reform. In that context, the summit provided a platform to express one's concern over the shortsighted policies that are being advocated to solve physician shortages in the US that might eliminate IMGs. We heard some novel ideas and recommendations and now comes the difficult part of selling them to the stakeholders. Also, we want to insure that our strategic plan is fully in step with the new strategic initiative at the AMA being led by Drs. Lazarus and Madara."
The 15th Anniversary IMG Summit that was held on Sept. 21-23, 2012 was a huge success. Many thanks to our sponsors, speakers and participants who attended this Summit. Please see the links below for a list of presentations from the Summit.
