Gay and Lesbian Medical Association to survey physicians on health care needs of LGBT patients

The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) is working to secure its seat in the AMA House of Delegates.
The House of Delegates (HOD) is the principal policy-making body of the American Medical Association composed of elected representatives and others as provided in the Bylaws. Once an organization gains a delegate seat in the HOD, its members are able to shape policy and have their voices heard within the AMA.

As the AMA continues to grow increasingly responsive to issues of concern to GLBT physicians, medical students and patients, GLMA physician and medical student members are encouraged to consider joining the AMA to share their voice and that of their patients.

If you are a GLMA physician and/or medical student member we encourage you to join the AMA.

If you have questions for the Advisory Committee on GLBT Issues, please e-mail glbt@ama-assn.org.
