Proceedings of the 2009 Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates

The Proceedings of the American Medical Association's 2009 Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates will be posted as each section becomes available. These Proceedings are not official until adopted by the House of Delegates at the 2009 Interim Meeting and are subject to correction until that time.

Action taken at the 2009 Annual Meeting called for the development of a new format of the Proceedings, using the annotated reference committee reports and the transcript along with indexed and searchable databases of the original business. The reference committee report also noted that “it is necessary to have a reliable record of the actions of the House and the new approach should be fully tested before discontinuing the current Proceedings.” Consequently, the Proceedings will be posted here in the usual format. In addition, some portions will be posted using the new format when the transcript becomes available, which is typically 8–12 weeks following the meeting.

For ease of use, the Proceedings has been split into separate files rather than grouped in one huge file. If you know the report or resolution number that you are looking for, you can simply open the file containing that item of business. If you need to search, we suggest that you first view the index and search for a keyword. Once you have the page number from the index, you can find the item by using the files below, listed with the page numbers contained in those files.
