About the Council
The Council on Science and Public Health (CSAPH), formerly the Council on Scientific Affairs, works to represent the AMA’s core belief that scientific evidence is the basis for improving the quality of patient care, promoting medical progress and enhancing the health of the public. The council prepares reports on a wide range of public health and medical issues. Council members represent the full spectrum of the medical and public health continuum, bringing diverse expertise to their recommendations to the AMA House of Delegates. Contact the CSAPH staff office with questions or comments.
