For more than 150 years, physicians of the American Medical Association have dedicated themselves to caring for their country. The stethoscope, a universal symbol of modern medicine, is among the most valuable tools at a physician's disposal. Yet, for every US health care worker who uses a stethoscope, there are hundreds throughout the world who must attend the sick and suffering without the benefit of this most basic and essential medical instrument. WorldScopes collects stethoscopes from US physicians and distributes them, with the help of humanitarian organizations, to communities around the world where medical supplies are scarce. Your stethoscope donation will help a colleague in diagnosing and treating diseases that deprive so many of health, life, and human dignity.
