Medical Student Ambassadors
The AMA Foundation Medical Student Ambassadors are a national group of medical school students who volunteer by serving as liaisons between the AMA Foundation and their medical schools and other medical groups. Ambassadors learn about philanthropy by meeting and working closely with AMA Foundation Board members and staff. Medical Student Ambassador duties include:
- Serving as advocates and spokespeople for the AMA Foundation at their medical schools, state and regional medical society meetings, and social media networks.
- Assisting with fundraising campaigns through holding events at their medical schools, distributing materials, and through social media.
- Attending two meetings per year which coincide with the AMA Annual and Interim meetings.
The term of service for a Medical Student Ambassador is one year.
