The AMA Foundation touches the lives of thousands of patients, physicians and medical school students across the country each year. But we cannot do it alone. Your donation will have a lasting impact on public health and medical education in the United States.
The AMA Foundation utilizes content experts to provide a thorough vetting process and awards the very best medical students, physicians and organizations throughout the United States. The AMA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization, and all donations are fully tax-deductible.

Cash donation
The AMA Foundation accepts donations by check or with Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Credit card donations may be made using our online donation form. To donate by check, please make your check payable to the AMA Foundation and designate the fund or purpose of your gift in a note or on the memo line of your check. Mail your check to AMA Foundation, 515 N. State St., 14th Floor, Chicago, IL 60654.
Stock gift
Gifts of appreciated stock are a tax beneficial way to contribute to the AMA Foundation. Donors receive charitable tax deductions for the full fair market value of the contributed stock and avoid taxes on capital gains. Planned gift
We can help you achieve your financial and estate planning goals with charitable giving opportunities that will improve the health of Americans and support medical education. Planned gifts give you benefits through income tax deductions and/or reducing estate taxes. Tribute gift
Remembering or honoring a family member, friend or mentor by making a gift to the AMA Foundation is a compassionate and meaningful gesture. Any gift to the AMA Foundation can be made "in memory of" or "in honor of" someone simply by filling in the "dedication" portion on the online donation form. Endowment gift
The AMA Foundation provides the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy through the support of an endowment fund. A gift to endowment is invested and the return on investment supports AMA Foundation programs and initiatives.
