The AMA Foundation is the philanthropic voice of the American Medical Association.
Founded in 1950, the AMA Foundation advances public health and medical scholarship through philanthropic support of physician-directed initiatives. Our vision is to be the center of philanthropic activity that enables the medical community to help people lead healthier lives.
The AMA Foundation recently adopted a new three-year Strategic Plan to guide the Foundation’s programmatic goals and expansion efforts. The Strategic Plan focuses on four core strategies, which illustrate the AMA Foundation’s top priorities for 2012 through 2014:
- Expanding Our Public Health Programming
- Collaborating With the Medical Community
- Broadening Our Donor Base
- Increasing Understanding of Our Mission
