Candidate’s Statement:
I have been a member of AMA for over a decade and actively participated in the IMG Section since its inception. The IMG Section now is a full blown, active section within AMA with its own Governing Council ably supported by experienced staff and a senior member of the Board of Trustees mentoring and guiding us along. It has been my pleasure and good fortune to have served on the IMG Governing Council and actively participated in the proceedings, giving me enormous pleasure and satisfaction in the rapid strides made by the IMGs in influencing a wide range of Healthcare Policy, Advocacy and Practice issues in this short period of time. I am passionate about continued service in the AMA-IMG Section and request your strong consideration of my candidacy for a second term.
If elected, I will be honored and pleased to continue to stay involved in AMA and work towards adequate and equal representation for all medical graduates and their professional concerns in organized medicine at the highest levels.
